The Five Rules of Common Sense
(and courtesy to your other raid members)
By: Aendiev & Krevak
- #1 Show Up on Time
If you cannot make the raid date, please inform Krevak or Aendiev that you cannot so we have ample time to fill your spot. If for some reason there is an emergency and you cannot make the raid, you are excused from the following punishments.
EXAMPLE: Death in the family, wife in labor, you cut your hand off, etc
** Please let someone know 48hrs in advance if you know you cannot make the raid.
** If you are on the way home from work, and expect to be late CALL, TEXT or EMAIL someone in th raid and let them know so that perhaps they can pass the message onto one of the leaders. Every time that I (Aendiev) am going to be late, I call Krevak, personally, and keep him updated until the time I am driving in my car and on my way home. This is common courtesy.
** IF YOU ARE GOING TO PURPOSELY SKIP A RAID, AND I FIND OUT, COUNT ON NOT BEING INVITED BACK. I do not have the patience and the lack of courtesy upsets me terribly when I find people doing so. If you have a problem with the raid, TALK TO US. Basically, don't sign up then go skip or do something on an alt. It leaves us scrambling for a fill-in and holds the raid up.
- #2 Please Be Prepared
Bring your reagents, flasks, proper pets, gear, and a positive attitude. Failure to bring your own reagents may put you on standby for the next raid.
EXAMPLE: You worked late, and you didn't have time to prep your character. We will give you 5 minutes to do so when you join the raid. We arn't tyrants and we want this to be fun.
** If you cannot do this the second time you join the raid you will be put on Standby for the next one. I want people that come prepared and ready to have fun and do their jobs.
- #3 Know the Fights
Are you unsure of your role in a certain fight? There are multiple sources out there to find the information you are looking for.
Wowhead
Wowiki
Thottbott
Tankspot
These are all good sources to find what you need. I expect you to know what to do when the time comes to engage the boss. I don't want to spend 10 minutes reading a wiki article on vent to the raid. The ONLY people that get a pass on this are people from LFG that we PUG in.
- #4 Repair Your Gear
This takes exactly 2 seconds. One to click the hammer and the second to click the vendor. Please, come with repair gear in both your specs if you think that we might need you for either of them. Its easy and I can guarantee that you will get money from the raid bosses to cover your repairs.
** In some instances Aendiev will pay for repairs but that is rare, and should not be counted on.
** Also, do not expect the raid to drop a Repair-Bot OR a Jeeves. We are short on engineers and they are expensive to make. And this would mean you didn't follow #4 anyway.
- #5 Accept Calendar Invites
For chrissakes people. Accept your invites. We make these to determine your status of coming. There are multiple ways to do so. #1, In game, #2, WowArmory #3, your iPhone or phone with Armory App. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE accept them. Do not just assume that we are clairvoyant.
The Loot Rules
- #1 Know the Loot
There are more than enough places that you can find the general loot tables for Ulduar 10 man now online (IE: Wowhead) Please, take time before each raid session to possibly put together a wishlist for yourself. Not only does this save the raid total overall raiding time, but it saves your master-looter (Krevak) his sanity.
- #2 How to Roll
If you are interested in an item for your MAIN spec, roll a /roll it is as simple as that.
If you are interested in an item for your OFF spec (that can be one that is actually your second spec, not the one that sits in the bank) you would roll /roll 1
This makes your text say: Aendiev rolls a 1 (1-1)
And this states your interest. If you think the item is even halfway beneficial please roll. You can trade your items up to TWO hours after you roll with anyone that was present for the boss-drop. So if you decide later when you arrive at the bank this would have better helped Person B, then trade it to them.
** If you are rolling against someone else for offspec you would preform a normal roll afterwards to determine the winner.
- #3 Be Considerate of Your Other Raiders
Has it been a good day for drops for you? Got 5 upgrades from the last few bosses? Take a moment to consider your fellow raiders. That new pair of sexy pants may benefit Person B's set better than yours even if you need it. One heavily awesome geared person doesn't help the raid as much as a very decently geared raid overall does.
